Cookie policy

The small files the portal stores in your browser, and why.

Last updated: 10 October 2026

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site remember things such as your language or that you are signed in.

Cookies we use

The portal uses only cookies that it needs to work. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking cookies or cookies from other companies.

NamePurposeHow long it lasts
NEXT_LOCALERemembers the language you chose (Nepali or English).Until you close the browser
__Host-mh_accessKeeps you signed in to your account.15 minutes, renewed while you use the portal
__Secure-mh_refreshRenews your sign-in so you do not have to log in again each visit.Up to 30 days, or until you log out
__Host-mh_csrfSecurity: protects your forms from being sent by other websites.7 days

Local storage

The portal also keeps one random number (mh_installation_id) in your browser's local storage. It lets us count how many assessments are started and completed. It contains no name, contact details, answers or score, and it is never used for advertising.

Taking the assessment also uses your browser's storage, only on this device. While you answer, your progress is kept in session storage (mh_sjs_draft) so a page reload does not lose it; it is removed when you close the tab. After you finish as a guest, your result and answers are kept in local storage (mh_sjs_result) for 7 days so you can see them on your next visit. You can remove them at any time with "Clear saved result"; they are also removed when you sign in or create an account (your result is then saved to your account), and when the questionnaire is updated. This data never leaves your device unless you register.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the cookies above, you can still read the portal and take the assessment as a guest, but you will not be able to sign in.

Changes to this policy

If we add new cookies, we will update this page and the date at the top.
